CCC Legal Solutions - Reviewing your service products

Reviewing your service products

This may seem an easy topic.

Why do this?

Surely every law firm knows the products and services it provides?

But does it?

And does every person within the law firm know?

How can you be sure they know?

And,

Do your existing clients know all of the products and services you provide?

How can you be sure they know?

These questions ought to be asked, answered and checked before you embark on optimising your Private Client Department performance.

We suggest:

Step one: Prepare a written schedule of the products and services that you offer your clients.

Step two: Review this with colleagues to check if you have included everything.

Step three: Review this list with us – so that you can use it to optimise the Department.

Please remember:

Each and every product/service can be thought of as its own strand of the business

For Estate Planning areas, you think of Lasting Powers of Attorney alongside Wills & trusts.  The LPAs as service products are therefore ‘strands’ of the business.  What about a ‘General Power of Attorney’? Is that a strand of the business also? And Court of Protection work?

Once you have a full, definitive list of your products and services, you have the start you need to go on from there.
